Landscape Crafting is an interdisciplinary project exploring how the Dutch landscape is shaped and transformed through the lens of architecture, material studies, craft, literary research, and data science. Led by architects Holly Dale and Willie Vogel, and supported by experts including Frederike Arp (Utrecht University & PBL), Prof. dr. ir. Klaske Havik (TU Delft), corāle, and Durk Valkema, the project combines lectures, workshops, and fieldwork to develop new tools for understanding and reimagining landscape narratives. Through a collaborative methodology, site visits to sand extraction locations, and a final exhibition with open reflection, Landscape Crafting aims to promote sustainable approaches to spatial transformation in the Netherlands.
